How do you get rid of Windows Live Messenger on Windows 7?

The sign in menu always pops up whenever the computer starts up – it’s annoying! Please help!

    If you want to stop it from starting at bootup, do this:
    Press the Windows logo key (lower-left on your keyboard) and R at the same time. Type msconfig, click OK or hit Enter, click the Startup tab, and uncheck Windows Live Messenger to not have it run at startup.

    If you want to get it off your computer completely, do the following:
    Click Start–>Control Panel, and under Programs, click Uninstall a Program. Select Windows Live Messenger and then click Uninstall near the top of the list.

    open run,then type in msconfig,a window call system configuration will pop out,find a tab call startup
    find windows live messenger and untick it…
    and it wont pop out again…
