How do you bleach hair with hydrogen peroxide?
I hear you can bleach hair with hydrogen peroxide. I don’t feel like spending $20 on a box when I’m bleaching just a small part and I can use something so cheap. How might I go about it?

I would not even try and bleach my hair myself! The darker your hair is, especially. I nearly always see my friends’ hair turn orange. And fried! If you want your hair to be lighter, I would suggest you go to a salon and have it professionally done! If you still want to save the bucks and do it yourself, go to Sally Beauty Supply and question one of the people there a excellent way to do it. They are pretty helpful.
Wet the hair with it every day. I fades slowly. You can do the whole head or do a streak, which is simpler.
I did it for a long time and I should warn you that it’s very damaging to the hair. After a couple of years of dong it, parts of my hair felt like some ancient rubbery substance that wouldn’t comb out without massive breakage.
If you want to place in some streaks for a while, peroxide is excellent for that, but if you want to be blond for an extended time, it’s worth it to get the more expensive stuff.
You just apply to the area u want lightened & let it dry. U can do it 3 or 4 times to get the desired effect, u would have to wait a day inbetween. But caution – it’s hard to control a liquid & you can eaisly bleach more hair than you intended. Also, if your hair has been dyed a dark color the effects could be wildly uneven or not show up at all.
That really doesn’t work so well, or at all. It’s not the same chemicals. And It’s very drying!! You can got to a beauty supply store and buy a small package of the bleaching powder, and a small bottle on the real color lifting cream. It’s NOT $20. Or Back in the 80’s Hee, Hee, we use to use lemon juice then sit in the sun. I don’t know where you live but it only works in the sun. It’s drying though. Can you find a frost kit in Target or Wallmart maybe? THose shoudln’t be more than $10. You don’;t have to mix it all, you could save the rest for later. Still, your best bet is a “Beauty Supply store”. Oh , they use to make this stuff called “Sun In”. It’s a spray. Can make your hair kinda orangy though. If you want really Blond or platinimum you need the frost/beauty supply store stuff. Excellent luck!!
I would suggest – do not try it at all. If it touches your scalp be prepared to start loosing hair. I would rather go in for a box of blonde streaks and use as much as I want and it lasts a long long time.
