okay so i am 17 years ancient and i’m a guy and i want to get my ears pierced but every time i question my parents they say no because they don’t like how it looks. and i said that i’m just going to get them done when i am 18 but they said that they’ll cut off all of their help with money. is there anything i can do to convince them to let me pierce my ears?

I’ve been trying to convince my ‘rents as well, but no excellent. They keep making excuses, like if God wanted a whole in your ear, then their would be one. I go well there is, its the earhole. Then they go well… Only girls get it. and im like “…”. I don’ know what to say man.
Sit them down and have a mature conversation with them. Show them you know the risks and how to take care of it and you are responsible enough. Tell them it is a very common piercing and low maintenance. Remind them that it is not permanent and you could take it out if you need to. I don’t know how long your hair is, but if it’s long enough to cover your ears, tell them that they will hardly see it since they “don’t like the way it looks.”
Also, question them again why they don’t want you to have it done. They may have reasons that they’re just not telling you.
