How would i ask to get my hair done?

Okay, i have REALLY thick hair, and friends are telling me to get my hair thinned. How would i question the hair stylist to do my hair? Do i just say “I needa get my hair thinned”? or “My hair is really thick, i want to get it thinned” Or what?

How come there are so many fashion rules for guys?

What’s happened to guys who aren’t worried to be individuals?
FASHION RULES FOR AMERICAN GUYS:
1) Pants can’t fit; must be baggy.
2) No small shorts. Only knee length or longer allowed.
3) Bathing pants must be long and baggy. No practical swimsuits allowed.
4) Only one earring (in left ear only) allowed.
5) No shimmels (half-shirts) in summer.
